About Us

After retiring from the military, we settled in Manhattan, Kansas, home to the Kansas State Wildcats and close to Fort Riley and the First Infantry Division. Manzanita (which means little apple in Spanish) is a unique art and antique business that started in 2013 as a brick-and-mortar store, morphing into a "by appointment/online" entity. We enjoy finding one-of-a-kind items on our adventures, meeting new friends while cherishing the old, and being inspired by life and creative pursuits. If you are looking for something special or just want some decorating ideas, please contact us.  We both have completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice Course and examination in personal property and are continually learning more about art, antiques, and our diverse world.
